The Irises is a well-known painting by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, one of the first paintings he made when he was admitted to the hospital St.-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, in 1889.
Van Gogh became famous for his combinations of yellow and blue tones. This mixed media work is a combination of collage and paint. Using color prints of Van Gogh's work and paint, this has become a wonderfully sunny and contemporary work of art that will not look out of place in almost any interior.
